Dear Saints of Mount Olive Lutheran Church,
With great joy and thanksgiving to God, I am accepting the divine call to be your pastor. I plan to be ordained into the office of the holy ministry and installed as your pastor on Sunday, August 9, at Mount Olive. I pray that the Lord will bless our work together to His glory and for the furthering of His heavenly kingdom. I am excited to be with you all this August. May the Lord continue to bless you and keep you steadfast in His Word.
A little about me. I was born and raised in San Diego and am excited to be back in southern California after my four years at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, IN. Before attending the seminary, I earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics at SDSU. I enjoy studying theology and tutoring math when I can. Outside of school and work I enjoy outdoor activities, such as skiing, hiking, and rock climbing, listening to music, reading books, and watching baseball and football. I look forward to meeting you all and together sharing our Lord’s love, forgiveness, and promise of eternal life to His redeemed children!
In Christ,
Cory Willweber
Pastor-Elect

David has been married for over 25 years and has two grown children. He recently earned his master's degree in child development, and he aims to offer a safe, nurturing, and culturally diverse environment that promotes physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development. He believes that children play to learn; through their play, each child will learn about themselves, others, and the world around them. Mount Olive is where a hands-on learning environment sets the stage for children to explore, learn, grow, and become responsible humans.
